ABSTRACT
National integration has been described as the role in which television must play. This study will critically examine the level to which television can aid national integration and to achieve unity in diversity. It will also assess the impact of television message on individuals in the society. Also it will look into the NTA Kaduna has been able to perform integration function. The methodology of the study is survey method, using questionnaire as the main instrument for gathering primary data. The population of the sample include male and female within the age of 18 – 65 and above all resident in Kaduna. And almost of the respondents agree that television is the most effective tool for national integration. The study therefore recommends that television programmes on integration should be more pleasing and satisfying to the audience to ensure more viewer ship. Also, there should be more innovations and creatively in television programme production to aid efficiency. More so, more space and time should be allocated to national integration related programmes, which will in turn lead to achievement of objectives.
